Meet the team at GESERCO - Meet Loïs, Research Engineer and Support Manager

We're delighted to highlight Loïs, who plays a key role in our mission to provide lubricant analysis solutions to our customers. We had the opportunity to ask him a few questions about his work and the job he's passionate about.

•  Can you tell us about your role at GESERCO and your responsibilities within the team?

“I joined GESERCO in 2022 as a Research Engineer to strengthen the team responsible for developing our new analysis solutions and accelerate their market launch. I am also Customer Support Manager, providing technical support to our clients and distributors, assist with equipment setup, and train our clients on the use of our products.”

• What qualities are required to successfully carry out your mission?

“It's essential to be responsive, have excellent communication skills and know how to work well in a team, as we interact with people all over the world. Providing precise and rapid responses is crucial.”

• What aspect of your work at GESERCO do you find most rewarding?

“Working in a small structure like GESERCO allows you to be involved in all aspects of product development right through to shipping to the customer, which means you can always learn more and feel fully involved in every step of the process.”

• Can you tell us about a particularly memorable project or moment since you joined GESERCO?

"Since I started, I have been supervising the deployment of a digitized oil condition monitoring service for field use, especially for our marine clients. This system simplifies and accelerates their tasks on board ships, including automated oil testing, digital procedures implementation, and automatic distribution of test results to all stakeholders whether they be onboard the vessel or at shore. It is a very interesting project that will eventually be extended to sectors beyond maritime.”
